West Canberra Lightning is the dedicated futsal program of West Canberra Wanderers FC. As the only club in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) licensed for both outdoor and indoor football, we offer a unique, year-round development pathway for players.

2025 Futsal Season Overview

Futsal Premier League

West Canberra Lightning will once again compete in the Futsal Premier League (Term 4 - 2025), providing players with high-level competition and indoor match experience.

Trial Period: Trials will be held in the first two weeks of Term 3 with dated TBC.

Eligible Age Groups:

Girls: U13 > U14 > U15 > U17 > Seniors
Boys: U11 > U12 > U13 > U14 > U15 > U16

Gold Coast International Futsal Cup

West Canberra Lightning teams will have the opportunity to compete in the Gold Coast International Futsal Cup, held 19–24 January 2026.

Endorsed by Football Australia, this national-level tournament offers elite competition and exposure in a professional futsal environment. Find out more about the tournament here.
