2026 Welcome from our President
Dear Wanderers and supporters,
On behalf of the Committee and the entire West Canberra Wanderers Football Club, I would like to warmly welcome you to our football family for the 2026 season.
We’re very excited for the season ahead. A big ‘welcome back’ to our returning players and families, and a big ‘welcome all’ to the new members joining our growing community.
We are incredibly proud that in 2025, we were recognised nationally as one of Football Australia’s Club Changer – Top 20 Clubs of the Year. This is a national program run by Football Australia to help build viable football communities across Australia. This recognition reflects the dedication of our players, families, coaches and volunteers, and highlights the strong, inclusive culture we aspire to and continue to build together. One of the key points in the video is to recognise the work undertaken last year on our Members Welcome Pack, which sets out key information, contacts and expectations to help you get the most from your experience at Wanderers. You may have seen the pack already, but if not, please ask for it to be sent to you.
As a volunteer-led club, we are always keen to welcome new volunteers across on-field and off-field roles. Any contribution, big or small, makes a real difference to our community. If you’re interested in helping out, please speak with your team coach or manager. We are always open to new ideas on how to make our club environment even better.
As we look ahead for 2026, we’re excited about continuing to grow, to build on our development focus and to support a positive football experience for everyone involved.
